Here's a few ways we can work together:

1:1 Executive Coaching

Modern leaders deal with a constantly changing environment, information overload and the distractions of firefighting, competitor & investor activity, constant communications and increasing personal visibility. They are human and subject to the same personal challenges, lapses of judgement and external pressures as everyone else.

Successful leaders recognise that the most valuable use of their time is in applying their judgement to:

  • Identify the right people to support them,

  • Lead the most valuable relationships

  • Set vision and tone for their organisation.

To do this consistently requires discipline and rigour, first to lead self and then to lead others. It requires time to think, to create, to apply and to reflect.

How does it work? Executive coaching provides the ideal environment to achieve change. I create a focused, confidential and challenging space for leaders to think deeper, more creatively and without fear, favour or prejudice. Informed by my own commercial experience and understanding of high performing leadership traits, I help clients set and achieve goals, work through personal or professional challenges and develop the habits to help them thrive in the long term.

What kind of topics do you cover? -Preparing for a significant step up and planning first 100 days  - Working through complex or ethical decisions  - Improving creative thinking or strategy development - Enhancing leadership, management or communication skills - Working on personal 'brand' - Preparing for Executive interview processes - Balancing personal and professional demands - Resolving team conflicts - Navigating trauma and personal change

What's the evidence? The ICF (International Coaching Federation) undertakes regular studies to provide insights to coaching incomes. In the ICF 2021 Coaching Report the following outcomes were provided: - 85% of clients reported improved work performance. - 70% indicated enhanced self-confidence. - 60% experienced better interpersonal relationships. - Over 90% of clients expressed satisfaction with their coaching experience, with many highlighting the value of the coaching relationship. - Return on Investment (ROI): Many organizations reported a positive ROI from coaching, with estimates suggesting returns of 3 to 7 times the initial investment.

"I found the sessions became an anchor and an important space when I was being bounced between urgent issues and big decisions. When there’s a lot going on, it’s important to have someone who’s able to separate out the various threads and zone in on something valuable to tackle."

1:1 Creativity Coaching

I work with professional Creatives across the arts and media, with a particular focus on visual artists.

Many Creatives struggle with self doubt and questions of value or purpose in their work. They can feel porous to the effect of external influences on their work and subject to creative overwhelm or block. Creating boundaries between personal and professional lives may seem impossible when art is personal.

Most creatives must also constantly balance the use of their time, juggling business responsibilities and personal branding alongside the necessity for dedicated artistic practice and training.

Success is rarely linear and even highly successful Creatives can struggle with these same concerns and the additional pressures of being in the public eye.

Creativity coaching is a newer area of coaching that has been led by Eric Maisel, whose training and approach I follow.  Using classic coaching techniques I work with Creatives to help navigate their creative journey, supporting them on a broad range of topics:

- Vision Development: I assist in clarifying your artistic vision and goals, helping you articulate what you want to achieve with your work and career.

Creative Process Support: Together, we explore your creative process, identifying obstacles like self-doubt or creative blocks, and developing strategies to overcome them.

- Marketing and Promotion: Support finding effective ways to promote your work, including leveraging social media, networking, and engaging with galleries and art communities.

- Time Management: I help you create a structured schedule that balances your artistic practice with the business side of being an artist, ensuring you have time for both creation and promotion.

- Resilience Building: Together, we work on building resilience to handle criticism, rejection, and the ups and downs of the art market.

I partner with clients to create a safe environment to unwrap and rethink these challenges. I help them to build structure, set long and short term goals, manage time, create boundaries and self trust.  Removing obstacles or limiting beliefs along with forming new positive habits can help Creatives to focus more intently and with greater freedom on their art and to find new perspective.

“Towards the end of our first set of sessions, Gabriella carried out a visualisation with me that amazed me by clarifying where where I wanted to go, and what I had already achieved. It felt like emerging from a waterfall, clear and refreshed, holding onto the things that were important, and having let all the unnecessary noise wash away..”
